Danielle Cox

Danielle leads our support team. She has over five years’ experience in supporting a wide range of businesses and individuals.

Danielle joined James Harvard in 2018, taking on the role of leading the support team, she is heavily involved in assisting with the day to day processes of the business.

She began her career as an Administrator for Hays in Watford. Whilst supporting the local office, she gained valuable organisational skills and quickly learnt all about the world of recruitment, candidates and control in a busy sales environment.

Danielle moved on to use to her skills at a Management Consultancy firm and a Marketing Referral organisation. Within these roles she gained strong experience supporting both internal and external individuals. She quickly became the ‘go-to’ person, providing exceptional customer service, arranging events, reporting on performance, handling a demanding management team and more. She prefers the pressure of being busy and handling multiple tasks at one time.

Outside of work, she likes spending quality time with family and friends and trying to organise her own social life!

Alan McFarlane

Alan leads the James Harvard team. He has over twenty-five years of experience in industry and professional services, giving him an extensive knowledge base and a pragmatic focus on getting work done.

A qualified accountant, Alan began his career at Marks and Spencer and Cadbury, before joining Atos KPMG Consulting. Since then, he has delivered projects and programmes of all shapes and sizes. Whilst Finance transformation remains a passion, he has supported programmes ranging from regulatory implementation in banks to complete operating model reviews in the Not-for-Profit sector.

Alan’s time away from work is spent enjoying his latest mid-life crisis – on a motorbike. He travels the UK watching racing and takes the scenic route wherever possible to enjoy the freedom that his Triumph brings.

Scott Dance

Over the past sixteen years, Scott has built key relationships across several sectors including financial services, technology, insurance, professional services, the public sector and pharmaceutical industries.

During that time, Scott has developed deep knowledge of both client issues and suitable solutions to their challenges and works with procurement to ensure risks are mitigated from the outset. He provides intelligence on market-place trends to both clients and consultants to enable them to act proactively in their projects and played a key role in the setup of the professional services brand back in 2015.

Scott’s expertise in procurement has been used to address industry conferences, provide articles to the press and media and has presented awards on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.

In his spare time Scott enjoys partaking in numerous sporting activities including football, cricket and martial arts as well as spending quality time with his 2 children.

Simon Lomax

Over twenty-five years, Simon has grown to appreciate the importance of creating strong supplier relationships to gain absolute trust and respect, to the point he becomes the natural choice in providing a service.

Simon initially joined us in 2017 as Director to lead the Commerce practice and throughout this time successfully developed and delivered against many large client program objectives. These included prominent industry clients across multiple sectors.

In January 2019, Simon was appointed to lead the Public-Sector Practice across UK & Ireland at James Harvard. The ever-increasing demand for our services in this area as organisations drive to get better value for money from their consultancy and contracting spend.

Prior to joining James Harvard, Simon has a successful career holding senior client engagement and Director positions within the recruitment and services industry. He primarily assisted clients with key project support needs within IT, Change and Transformation.

Throughout his career, he has developed a wealth of knowledge in how to assist clients in managing the full services life-cycle, from planning, through to deployment and service delivery. He is analytically minded, with an aptitude for complex problem solving, particularly in finding alternative solutions.

In his spare time, he likes to dabble in the kitchen with varying levels of success. We look forward to seeing him succeed in MasterChef or Bake Off one day soon.
